Just-In-Time Minimal Permissions

DocuPDF by UJ Studio requests only the minimum operating system permissions strictly necessary to capture camera scans and import local images or PDFs when you explicitly initiate those actions.

Operating System Permissions Requested

CAMERA / NSCameraUsageDescriptionAndroid & iOS (Optional Hardware)

Purpose: Requested only when you tap Scan Document or ID Card Mode to capture physical pages with automatic edge detection. Marked with android:required="false" so devices without cameras can still use all PDF and OCR tools.

READ_MEDIA_IMAGESAndroid 13+ (API 33+)

Purpose: Allows importing photos from your device gallery to convert into PDFs, run OCR, or composite ID cards.

READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTEDAndroid 14+ (API 34+)

Purpose: Supports Android 14+ selective media access so you can grant access to individual photos rather than your entire photo library.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGEAndroid 12 & Below (maxSdkVersion 32)

Purpose: Used exclusively on legacy Android versions (API 32 and below) to import user-selected images and PDF documents.
