DocuPDF — Terms & Conditions

1. Grant of Watermark-Free License

UJ Studio grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and royalty-free license to download, install, and execute DocuPDF on compatible Android, iOS, and desktop devices for personal, academic, or internal business productivity. All PDF and image exports generated by DocuPDF are free of forced promotional watermarks.

2. 100% User Content Ownership

You retain full, uncompromised copyright, trademark, and intellectual property ownership of all documents, scans, ID card composites, e-signatures, OCR text, and PDF/ZIP archives created or modified using DocuPDF. Because DocuPDF operates strictly offline on your device, UJ Studio never accesses, receives, or claims any license over your content.

3. E-Signature, ID Card & Encryption Responsibilities

DocuPDF provides local tools for stamping handwritten electronic signatures, compositing dual-side ID cards, applying custom watermarks, and encrypting/unlocking PDF files:

• You agree to apply electronic signatures and unlock password-protected PDFs only for documents that you own or are legally authorized to sign or decrypt.
• No Password Recovery Server: When you encrypt a PDF using DocuPDF's AES-256 Protect PDF tool or enable the salted SHA-256 App Lock, keys are processed strictly on-device. UJ Studio does not store your passwords and cannot recover encrypted files if you forget your password.

4. OCR Accuracy & "AS IS" Warranty Disclaimer

DocuPDF is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While on-device English and Hindi/Devanagari OCR and perspective warping are engineered for high precision, recognition accuracy depends on camera resolution and lighting. Users must independently verify critical legal, financial, or medical text before relying on OCR output.

5. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall UJ Studio, its engineers, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software, including loss of device data, forgotten PDF encryption passwords, or hardware storage failures.
